Hello,
My name is Derick Hill, my experience with guitar and the music industry spans over 30 years. Inspired by family members, I started exploring music and the guitar in my early teens. Soon, it became apparent to all that a career in music was my primary path in life. After initial efforts to teach myself diminished, I started taking lessons from various guitar instructors in the Charlotte and Raleigh areas of North Carolina. Looking back, the decision to invest the time and money to learn more about guitar and music has paid-off. The method of teaching I employ focuses on making the guitar fun to learn. In addition, my students benefit from the diversified guitar styles I have studied which include; rock, blues, country, and classical. Intertwined in the fun process of learning songs are the fundamentals of music theory and sight-reading. Finally, as each student is different, the lessons you take at Guitar Lessons To Go will be specifically planned to ensure both your enjoyment and goals as a guitar player.
