CHRIS WOFFORD

Hey, my name is Chris Wofford and I've centered my life around music since the 6th grade. I started teaching myself guitar in the 11th grade and haven't slowed down since. I received my degree in music from Winthrop University. I started out on guitar playing blues and southern rock and then branched out into the genres of rock, metal, folk, and various others. I never imagined enjoying teaching half as much as I do now, but I can't think of anything I'd be happier doing. I like to cater my teaching style to each individual student’s learning style and am constantly thinking of ways to improve upon how I teach while keeping things fun. I teach in Greenville Spartanburg and surrounding areas. I look forward to helping you become the guitar player you want to be.

(Chris has been personally instructed by me to use the exact same method of teaching that I use to get student off and running on guitar. - Ralph)

Testimonials:

Our family loves Chris Wofford! He is an excellent guitar player and teacher, and an all around great person. He is a wonderful role model and a great influence on our son. Chris is very knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, kind, and he makes learning fun! He always goes the extra mile to instruct our son on all aspects of the guitar, such as how to properly re-string the guitar and how to use an amp, etc.

Chris has been much more than just a guitar instructor; he is a friend. He has helped our son build confidence and self esteem, which is so important during the teen years. He makes our son smile and laugh.... and that is priceless. We are honored to have Chris in our home and blessed to have him in our lives. Our son thinks Chris is the coolest guy he has ever met and I cannot say enough about him. We highly recommend Chris to anyone interested in learning guitar, so sign up for lessons with Chris right away!

Chris has only been giving guitar lessons to Nick early May (2010) but in this time, Nick has learned so much. In the past with his previous teacher, even though Nick wanted to take lessons, he always dreaded it and hardly ever practiced. With Chris being his teacher, it’s different. He looks forward to lessons and is eager to practice because he wants to better himself but he also wants to please Chris. Chris has an easy going personality and I can hear him and Nick laughing and getting along so well during the lesson. I love having him come to our home and we feel very lucky that Chris is Nick's teacher.    : )
